At Denver PWM, professional financial planning is a core element of our commitment to comprehensive and personalized wealth management. We work diligently, following a thorough, defined financial planning process, to understand you and to help you identify your risks and opportunities, goals and priorities.

Working closely with your advisor, our Certified Financial Planner™ professionals utilize modern analysis tools to assess your financial status and implement investment, tax, and insurance solutions to help you achieve objectives such as education financing, secure retirement, charitable giving, estate design and wealth transfer. We encourage close collaboration with your legal and accounting professionals to achieve these aims.

Financial planning is an on-going and dynamic enterprise. Denver PWM recommends annual financial plan “checkups” to monitor progress as we work together to achieve your goals. The benefits of a clear and current financial plan are numerous, not least of which is your peace of mind.

To develop a solid financial plan, it’s important to cover all your bases. From start to finish, your Denver Private Wealth Management team will take you through the financial planning process to help you achieve your financial goals. Here are the six steps we follow at DPWM to create your financial plan:

1. ESTABLISH OUR RELATIONSHIP: Our team will explain our services, define our responsibilities and discuss compensation. Together we will determine how long the professional relationship will last and how to make decisions.

2. GATHER FINANCIAL DATA: We will talk about your current financial situation and gather any necessary documents. We’ll help you define your personal and financial goals. We will also survey and discuss your comfort level when it comes to taking financial risks.

3. ANALYZE AND EVALUATE: Your team of advisors will consider all aspects of your situation to determine what you need to do to meet your goals. Depending on what services you’ve asked for, we may analyze your assets, liabilities and cash flow, current insurance coverage, investments and tax strategies.

4. REVIEW RECCOMENDATIONS: Your DPWM advisor will go over our financial recommendations, explaining the rationale so you can make informed decisions. At this stage, your advisor will listen closely to any concerns you may have and revise the recommendations if necessary.

5. SET YOUR COURSE: You and your advisor will need to agree on how the recommendations will be carried out. Your advisor will implement the investment and/or insurance recommendations and may also coordinate with your other financial professionals, like attorneys and accountants.

6. BENCHMARK YOUR PROGRESS: As you work toward your goals, you and your DPWM team will monitor your progress to help you stay on track. Denver Private Wealth Management recommends annual financial plan “checkups” to monitor progress as we work together to achieve your goals.
